The rise, voice, vote youth engagement project connects Manchester’s woman-led activism of past and present with local young people. The project seeks to inspire and support young people’s political participation and community activism through shared stories, learning and celebration.
The project will work with a diverse group of young people (aged between 13-19) in schools, colleges and alternative education settings across Manchester. Partner organisations include local women’s organisations, politicians, campaigning groups and youth charities.
The programme includes a visit to the Pankhurst Centre, an in-school workshop, the co-development of a toolkit and on-line resources, and a ‘hack day’ and campaign launch at the People’s History Museum.
