Whilst Members of parliament have fought for change within political systems, activists throughout history have fought outside of democratic processes and some times outside of the law. Centenary City – Exhibition at Pankhurst Centre

As part of our programme of activity to mark 100 years since some women first gained the right to vote, the Pankhurst Centre in Manchester is holding an exhibition of the city's response #Vote100. The exhibition features a selection of objects from some of the city's key #Vote100 moments, including banners, artworks, leaflets, badges and other items. Programme for the day:  The unveiling of Hazel Reeves' 'Rise Up Women' statue of  Emmeline Pankhurst will take place in St Peter’s Square, Manchester on Friday 14th December 2018 at 1pm. Launch – Radical Locks banner
